After 3 successful scratch nights exploring gender, Original Impact are focussing its 2018 scratch nights on National identity. With that in mind we are looking for writers and directors from both International and British backgrounds to submit work to be scratched as part of The CentrE17's Political Festival - It’s the END of the World as we know it.

Original Impact’s theme is Nationalism and what it means to you. With Brexit on the horizon the UK as a multinational country, especially the capital, face a big discussion on what kind of country we want to be on the global scale and how we will relate to the rest of the world. What does it mean to be British? How do we see ourselves? How does the rest of the world see us? What is Home? What is your Nationalism?

We are looking for 10-15 minute pieces from writers all over the Globe with some reference to the UK.

Performance will take place on Thursday 19th April 2018.

WRITERS: Please send scripts to with 'Nationalism Scratch Night - Writing Submission' in the subject.

DIRECTORS: Please send CV’s and a cover letter to with 'Nationalism Scratch Night - Director' in the subject.

Deadline Monday 5th March 2018.

Any questions please get in touch.
